Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA) Monday posted a five percent (5%) half year post tax profit for the period ended June 30 2013.

To post the 5% increase, UBA in the review period recorded a post tax profit of N28.409 billion in the second quarter of 2013 compared to N27.066 billion reported in the same period of 2013.

Pre tax profit also grew from N30.409 billion in the half year of 2012 to N33.248 billion in the review period of 2013; indicating a growth of 9.3%.

Similarly, gross earnings increased from N107.913 billion in the second quarter of 2012 to N125.981 billion in the half year of 2013; showing an increase of 16.7% in the review period.
