About C-Hub Magazine

Our Magazine is C.Hub Magazine; its published by FaunteeWrites Limited, C.Hub is meant to help Black Talents who are creative in different areas showcase their talents and skills. The magazine looks beyond fashion and style; it digs into the mind of the curator to see the pain of hardwork, the inspiration, patience and resilience to overcome challenges. C.Hub Magazine narrates the stories of how challenges are surmounted by creative people in their quest to succeed in what they do and impact positively on the world.

Online Publication in London

Online publication here is really vast and people are really into it; because its very easy and affordable for people to do that; getting a website is very easy and going online is very easy, there is always power supply and superb internet connection; almost every home has a computer.

Why go into creative publication

Since I have been a child, I have always wanted to be a Journalist; though I studied Nursing, I am a Nurse and a Mid-Wife; but I have never been so satisfied with Nursing. I have practiced nursing for more than 10 years; but now I found the love in creative writing, I have been writing poetry, I have written a lot of poems and I am writing children’s books as well; it will be coming out in September.

Until I embraced Journalism coupled with creative writing was when I felt fulfilled. And we are pushing through to launch the C.Hub Magazine. The Magazine is basically focused on promoting black creativity. This will showcase what Black people can do because the Western Media has dominated the world for so long; which has depressed the talents inherent in Black people; thereby giving us different mindset as if we cannot engage in any meaningful venture. The younger generation of black people are embracing and going on with it.

We want to change this with C.Hub Magazine; we want to tell the world as much as possible what Black people can do.

When is the C-Hub’s maiden edition due?

The First Edition is coming out August 25 2012, that’s the launching date.

FACTS CHECK:

C.Hub Magazine will be launched on Saturday 25 August 2012 in London United Kingdom (UK) and its published by FaunteeWrites Limited.

Why abandon lucrative Nursing for publishing?

First and foremost what inspires me is not money; but what I love to do, what I have the passion and it gives me joy. Sometimes, I stay awake up till 2.00am in the morning writing and doing research. This is what gives me the joy, I like to see young black people creating things and doing what they want to do and making a difference in the world.

What does it take starting up the publishing business in London?

Starting a publishing business in London is a tough thing; but we are moving forward; because we trust in God. People don’t want to talk about God; but I like to do that; because God is our hope. God is the author of all creation; you cannot say you are creative without getting your inspiration from God. But the major thing is that you must work hard to be able to achieve success. You must be able to sacrifice your time, money and above all you must be patient for the money to come.

Your staff strength

At the moment, we are working with Freelancers that contribute articles to the Magazine.

More on inspiration

We are inspired that Black people can achieve and for you to become a great achiever, you must put on a great zeal of effort, it’s only when you push beyond your boundary and leave your comfort zone; that’s the time you will be able to achieve greatness. We cannot continue shying away from responsibilities, the best thing is to get ready and take up the responsibility and get it done. If we don’t do it, we will keep on having generations of people who are not succeeding and are failures. We want our children to benefit from our hard work, also we want to set a precedent that Black people can achieve as much as the whites do.

This has inspired us, and we believe strongly we will achieve a lot as soon as we begin publication. The Media is very important, the way you present people is the way they are, your reputation and value depends on the image you have; what gives you the image is the media. Days are gone when Black people are presented as people who are beggars; we don’t want to see that again. We want great Black Film Makers and those who have achieved a lot of things as good Dancers and DJs, Musicians; changing the world and we no longer want to hide them.

Do you think the creative people in Nigeria are doing enough to put us on the world map?

Most of our works originated from Nigeria, South Africa and other places in Africa. They are doing greatly and we are working with them to promote African Culture, there is no place like home, its only when you know your identity, that’s when you will no where you are going. Therefore, those doing a good work in Nigeria are doing great things and they are fantastic people and we say we are proud of what they are doing.

There are a lot of Nigerians in particular and Africans in general who are creative, doing what will change the world; but the unfortunate thing is that our Government are letting us down, that’s the only problem Nigeria has; not that we don’t have creative people in Nigeria, there are lots of talents wasting in Nigeria and that’s the reason some of us a running out to diaspora.

For instance, if I was to be in Nigeria, I may not have been doing what I am doing presently. But here, you necessarily do not need to have the money, but the skill and talent to do what you like doing; that’s the difference.

How do you generate income with the C-Hub Magazine?

First and foremost, the Magazine is an enterprising business, so, it’s going to be a fantastic business. We will generate a lot of money from Advertisers. As new comers in the business, we already have a couple of Advertisers ready to sponsor the publication. Apart from generating money from Advertisers, we will also make revenue from selling the Magazine here in the UK, South Africa, Nigeria and United States of America; we are projecting a great Turnover.

What makes C-Hub Magazine unique from other players in the industry?

Why we are different is that C.Hub is not just another Fashion/Style magazine, like I said earlier, it’s about talking of inspirations in people doing what they do. For instance you are wearing a Green Tie; we will look at the inspiration behind the making of the Tie. The difference in our magazine is that we are going to the core of creativity, inspiring the emerging talents; we want to support them and give them courage to move on and change the world.

We need to have this in mind that it’s a very long and lonely road to success; but with the support of giving them the attention they require, it makes it better for these talents to emerge, get established and really change the world.
