Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- INVESTMENT ONE Financial Services Limited (formerly GTB Asset Management Limited), has offered Anna Ebiere Banner from Bayelsa State and Nigeria’s most beautiful girl 2013 a Portfolio Management prize of N500,000.
The company in a Statement on Friday and made available to InvestAdvocate said the prize money of N500, 000 is part of its efforts to sensitise Nigerian youths on the importance of financial security through investment education.
Joseph Edgar, Group Head, Retail Marketing at INVESTMENT ONE at the MBGN 2013 Pageant in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State said the prize money will be paid into an investment account to be managed on behalf of the Queen during her 12 months reign. ”The 31 other contestants will be offered free financial advisory services for a period of 12 months,” Edgar said.
According to him, the Portfolio Management prize forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objective of supporting sport and socio-cultural advancement as well as providing investment education to the general public especially Nigerian youths through seminars, the Virtual Investment Simulator (online game portal), articles and mass media broadcast.
The firm recentlyreported a 300 percent (300%) growth in its fund management which it said was as a result of mainly organic growth driven by institutional clients and high net-worth individuals (HNIs), incremental growth from acquisition and focusing on retail customers.
To record the growth, the funds being managed by INVESTMENT ONE grew from N6.577 billion in June 2012 to N26.456 billion in the same period of 2013; indicating a growth of 300%.
