Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said it will close trading on its floor by 12.30 pm on Tuesday ahead of the Christmas celebration.
This is contained in a notice on the official website of the NSE, ‘’please be informed that market activities for Tuesday, 24th December, 2013 will close by 12:30pm. The market will re-open on Friday, 27th December, 2013. Have a great holiday’’. The notice said.
The NSE’s trading structure is as follows:9.30am to 10.15am – Market Pre-opening and from 10.15am to 2.30pm – Open/Continuous Trading.
With the 12.30 pm closing time on Tuesday, it indicates that activities in the market will be for only three (3) hours instead of the usual seven (7) hours.
