Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Mariano Rajoy, the Prime Minister of Spain Monday visited the headquarters of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C. to meet and share views with Christine Lagarde, Managing Director (MD) of the Fund on recent economic developments in Europe and Spain.
Ángela Gaviria, IMF’s spokeswoman, said views were also shared on the challenge of ensuring that the ongoing recovery leads to strong growth and job creation, building on the achievements attained so far.
This is coming on the heels of the visit of Rajoy to the United States (US) based on an allied partnership and shared values, as well as Spain’s consideration of the US as a strategic and reliable partner reflecting a clear desire to cooperate in many areas of common interest.
