Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The international monetary fund (IMF), Thursday said Christine Lagarde, its managing director (MD) will visit Beijing on March 22-24 to meet with seniour government officials and attend the China Development Forum 2014, the IMF said in a statement.

“I very much look forward to returning to China, a country that is undergoing transformative changes under its new leadership.”Lagarde said.

The IMF said in Beijing, Lagarde will also attend an event with women leaders and address students at a townhall meeting at Tsinghua University.

According to the IMF, Lagarde will speak at the opening ceremony of the Forum on March 23 and give a keynote luncheon speech at the Forum on March 24.

‘’Lagarde last visited China in April, 2013,’’ the IMF said.
