Unilever Nigeria Profit Down -16%, Retains Dividend at N1.40 Kobo

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Soap maker, Unilever Nigeria Plc Friday announced its pre-tax profit dropped by -16 percent (-16%) for the 2013 audited year end

Pre-tax profit of the company fell to N6.911 billion from N8.185 billion recorded in 2012 audited year end.

Similarly, post-tax profit declined from N5.597 billion in 2012 end to N4.807 billion in the review period of 2013; indicating a decline of -14.1%.

However, the soap maker increased its revenue from N55.548 billion in 2012 end to N60.004 billion in the review period of 2013; representing a slight increase of 8.0%.

Unilever Nigeria retained its dividend payout to investors of the company as it proposed to pay a N1.40 kobo dividend in 2013; the same amount paid as dividend in 2012 end.
