BOC Gases Profit Drop 24% in 2013, Offers 10 Kobo Dividend

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-BOC Gases Nigeria Plc Monday said its profit for the year dropped 24 percent (24%) in its 2013 audited year end.

To report the 24% decline, profit before tax (PBT) of the gas company dropped to N380.322 million from N499.049 million recorded in 2012.

Similarly profit after tax (PAT) declined from N304.632 million in 2012 to N262.757 million in the review period of 2013; showing a decline of 14%.

Revenue decreased 10% from N2.325 billion in 2012 to N2.091 billion in the audited period of 2013.

Meanwhile despite the loss, the gas company declared a 10 kobo per share dividend to its investors.

According to BOC Gases, closure date of register of shareholders to benefit from the 10 kobo dividend is 27th to 30th May, 2014 and annual general meeting (AGM) has been scheduled for June 26, 2014 at Lagos Airport Hotel

The company said its payment date for the 10 kobo per share dividend to investors is July 07, 2014.
