12 Listed Companies Paid Dividend in May 2014

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE) – 12 listed companies on the Nigerian stock exchange (NSE) paid dividend to its shareholders in the month of May 2014.

Research from Investment One Financial Services shows that beverage makers, Nestle Nigeria Plc emerged the highest paying dividend with N24.00, followed by Dangote Cement Plc N7.00, beer makers Nigerian Breweries Plc N4.50, Cadbury Nigeria Plc N1.30 and soap makers Unilever Nigeria Plc with N1.25.

Others on the list are FBN Holdings Plc N1.10, Dangote Sugar Plc 60 kobo, cement manufacturers Ashaka Cement Plc 42 kobo, Skye Bank Plc 30 kobo, UBA Capital Plc 25 kobo, Custodian & Allied Insurance Plc 16 kobo and Fidelity Bank Plc 14 kobo.

However, 13 companies did their closures in the month of May 2014 and declared dividends, while one (1) apart from declaring dividend did a bonus issue.

The companies include BOC Gas Plc 10 kobo, Chemical & Allied Product Plc N1.00, Courteville Business Solutions Plc 2 kobo, Dangote Sugar Plc 60 kobo, FBN Holdings Plc N1.10, FCMB Holdings Plc 30 kobo.

Others are drug makers GlaxoSmithKline Nigeria Plc N1. 30, Learn Africa Plc 12 kobo, Nahco Aviance Plc 30 kobo, Okomuoil Plc N1.00, Skye Bank Plc 30 kobo, UACN Plc N1.70 and UAC Properties Plc 70 kobo and 1 for 4 bonus issue.
