Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Murtala Nyako, governor of Adamawa State, North East Nigeria on Tuesday afternoon was impeached by the State House of Assembly after it considered the report of a 7-man panel constituted to investigate charges of financial impropriety against him and his deputy, Bala Ngilari.
Ngilari tendered his resignation just before the impeachment, this was read at the plenary session of the House by, Umaru Fintiri, the Speaker and it was subsequently approved by the House.
The Adamawa House of Assembly on Tuesday commenced sitting amidst tight security to consider the report of a 7-man panel constituted to investigate allegations of financial crime against Nyako.
