In his acceptance remarks, Banga spoke about the true essence of diversity. He said that unlocking a diverse and inclusive workforce comes from looking past people’s physical attributes and experiences and focusing on their diverse perspectives, ideas, and insights.
“We focus on making enterprises more human, instead let’s focus on making humans more enterprising,” said Banga.
He also recognized Donna Johnson and MasterCard’s Global Diversity Office for their role in shaping a diverse and inclusive workforce across all levels of the organization, through diversity councils and business resource groups.
The event was made possible thanks to sponsors: AT&T, Caterpillar, Cox Communications, Marriott International, MasterCard, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporations, and Wells Fargo.
