Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Osun State based brewer, International Breweries Plc (INTBREW) on Friday announced the appointment of Andrew Ross as the chief operating officer (COO) of the company to take over from Carlos Gomes.

The company in an issuer’s announcement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Ross is a graduate of Accounting and Business Economics with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Gordon Institute of Business and Science.

The brewer said Ross has significant experience in every aspect of financial planning, marketing and business development spanning over 20years.

He held at various times, key managerial positions in the Brewery industry in South Africa and East London from where he joined the company effective October 01, 2014.

‘’The board believes that Ross’s wealth of experience will further boost stakeholders’ value and increase the profitability of the company,’’ INTBREW added.

At the close of trading on the Nigerian bourse on Friday, share price of the company went down 1.62 percent as it opened N31.50 and closed N30.99 losing 0.51 kobo.
