ETI Receives $200 Million Loan from Deutsche Bank AG

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Pan African lender, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) said on Wednesday it has received aone-year, seniour unsecured loan facility of $200 million from Deutsche Bank AG, the lender said in an issuer’s announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Ecobank affirmed that on November 17, 2014, it appointed Deutsche Bank to be the initial mandated lead arranger, bookrunner and facility agent to arrange the facility.

The pan African lender disclosed that on Tuesday December 09, 2014, Deutsche Bank AG successfully closed primary syndication with an oversubscribed orderbook of $230 million. ‘’The final size of the facility was maintained at $200 million,’’ the bank added.

According to Ecobank, the deal reflects Deutsche Bank’s strong distribution platform and rapid execution capabilities in challenging market conditions.

The pan African lender further affirmed that the facility would be used for general corporate purposes.
