Seplat Names Mirian Kene Kachikwu New Company Secretary

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- First listed Nigerian oil and gas upstream firm, Seplat Petroleum Development Company Plc said on Monday it has appointed Mirian Kene Kachikwu as its new company secretary.

Seplat in a notice to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said the appointment of Kachikwu came on the heels of a meeting of its board of directors held on October 29, 2014 where Isaiah Odeleye resigned as the company secretary; but still remains an employee of the company.

Kachikwu holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1992) and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1993, following her studies at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. She received her Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the University of Dundee, Scotland, United Kingdom (1998).

Seplat also stated that the effective date of the change is November 01, 2014 and has been effected at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
