Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s mid-tier lender Diamond Bank Plc on Wednesday said it has appointed Chris Ogbechie a non-executive director as new chairman of its board, according to a notice from the bank to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
This is coming on the heels of the board meeting of the bank held November 29, 2014 and the approval of the retirement of HRM Igwe Ugochukwu Nnaemeka Achebe, erstwhile chairman of the board of directors of the bank effective December 31, 2014.
Similarly, the lender issued the resolutions of the board meeting held in the United Kingdom (UK) which include that the retirement of Achebe as chairman of the board be and is hereby effective December 31, 2014.
Also, Ogbechie be and was appointed as the chairman of the bank with effect from January 1, 2015.
