Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Renowned rating agency Standard & Poor’s and the U.S. Department of Justice may enter into a $1.37 billion settlement on Thursday, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) on Wednesday.

This is coming on the heels of the Justice Department suing Standard & Poor’s in February 2013 for what it termed as misleading ratings of residential mortgages which resulted in the 2008 financial crisis.
