Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said on Monday it will henceforth reject incomplete applications made by any capital market operator (CMO) and issuer, the Nigerian securities regulator warned in a notice on its official website.

Part of the notice reads thus: “The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Nigeria pursuant to the powers conferred on it by the Investments and Securities Act (ISA) 2007 hereby directs all capital market operators and issuers to ensure that any application filed with the Commission complies fully with the requirements of its Rules and Regulations.

All supporting documents, in the approved format, shall accompany applications at the time of filing as any incomplete filing will be rejected outrightly, “the Commission affirmed.

According to SEC, all market operators and issuers shall ensure that deficiencies or queries raised on their applications are promptly addressed within a reasonable timeframe or as may be stipulated by the Commission.
