Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Brewer, Nigerian Breweries Plc on Friday named Samuel Olaniyi Bolarinde to its boarde ffective February 11, 2015, the beer maker said in an issuer’s announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
According to the company, Bolarinde received his first degree in Industrial Chemistry from John Dalton College, Manchester, England in 1966 before obtaining MSc in Material Engineering in 1967.
He spent his working career with Vitafoam Nigeria Plc where he retired as the managing director/CEO in March 2002 after spending 35 years with the Company.
Also, Bolarinde has served on the board of several Companies including Wema Bank Plc (chairman; 2009 – 2012), Best Oils Nigeria Ltd; National Bank of Nigeria Ltd (1999 – 2003), Vitafoam Nigeria Plc (chairman; 2002 – 2013) among others.
Nigerian Breweries says he is a former member of council of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), past council member of Nigerian Employers Consultative Association (NECA), former council member, Nigeria Britain Association (NBA), and pioneer council member of Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) among others.
“He is currently on the board of Sunlink Petroleum Ltd,” the company said.
Share price of Nigerian Breweries at the end of trading on the Nigerian bourse lost 0.01 kobo declining 0.01 percent.
