CIS, firm sign deal to strengthen operations

The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers says it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a consulting firm to boost its revenue base and activities in line with its growth plans.

According to the CIS, the MoU with Business In Nigeria Events Limited will ensure that its events and activities are better organised and guaranty the institute’s profitability.

A statement by CIS on Sunday explained that the events BINEL will help the institute to coordinate under the partnership, include its Annual National Stockbrokers’ Conference and Annual National Workshop require, which require huge capital outlay.

The President and Chairman of Council, CIS, Mr. Albert Okumagba, was quoted as saying that the institute had a strong strategic plan that required huge capital to execute.

He expressed optimism that agreement would advance the realisation of the vision, mission and core values of the institute.

According to him, the broad objective of the agreement is to raise the bar for the institute’s revenue base for enhanced execution of its laudable programmes.

On his part, the Managing Director, BINEL, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, explained that the company would deploy all its platforms to enable the CIS to realise its revenue mobilisation objective.

BINEL is expected to work closely with the Programme Committee of the CIS to in organising events for the institute.

The institute has signed MoUs with several notable organisations in its bid to mobilise 150,000 young graduates to enrol for its Professional Diploma in Securities and Investment Examination.

The companies are expected to the CIS attract qualified young Nigerians seeking a career in the countries capital and financial markets.

The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers serves as a platform for the training and certification of the beneficiaries as a strategy to grow the membership base.
