Bruce Rutherford, a senior vice president of fraud management solutions at MasterCard, has been appointed to chair the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) for the coming year.
In this role, Rutherford will drive the council’s continued development of standards, best practices and resources for securing payment transactions globally. This marks Rutherford’s second time serving in this post.
The PCI Security Standards Council is an open global forum that is responsible for the development, management, education, and awareness of the PCI DSS and other standards that increase payment data security. As PCI chairperson, Rutherford will provide guidance to PCI Council leadership in its continued development of standards, best practices and resources for securing payment transactions globally.
