Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Pan- African lender, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) on Friday announced the demise of its director André Boboé Bayala at 64 years.
The pan-African lender in an issuer’s announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said Bayala is a national of Burkina Faso, who passed away on Wednesday, 11 March, 2015, following health complications.
ETI says Bayala was a board member of the bank since June 2014. He was also chairman of the board of Ecobank Burkina Faso from May 2003 to December 2010 and a member of the board of Ecobank Mali since 2010.
“His contributions to the growth of Ecobank Group over the last 12 years have been invaluable,” the pan-African lender affirmed.
Bayala had over 34 years of experience in seniour management roles in the public and private sector in Burkina Faso.
