Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Diamond Bank Plc on Monday said its first quarter (Q1) report for the period March 31, 2015 dipped 15.1 percent to N7.167 billion from N8.446 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2014.
Similarly, pretax profit declined 9.4 percent to N8.367 billion from N9.240 billion in the Q1 of 2014.
While interest income climbed marginally 5.9 percent to N40.487 billion in the review period of 2015 from N38.244 billion in the first quarter of 2014, the lender said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
At the close of business on the Nigerian bourse, share price of the bank inched up 2.91 percent to N4.60 from N4.47 recorded on Friday; gaining 0.13 kobo.
