Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)– Meat and baked products company, UTC Nigeria Plc said on Friday it has appointed Victor Ogiemwonyi as a director of the company with effect from 20 April 2015.
According to fresh meat producer, Ogiemwonyi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (1979) from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas USA. He also holds an MBA in Accounting (1981) from the same university.
He is an experienced leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years management experience in the Finance Industry. He has been chief executive officer (CEO) of Partnership Investment Company Plc (an investment holding company with its flagship Securities Trading firm, Partnership Securities Ltd, a member of The Nigerian Stock Exchange) since 1992.
Ogiemwonyi received his investment banking training at the then NAL Merchant Bank Plc and has several years’ experience in Merchant Banking, managing accounts of some of the largest Nigerian companies in the conglomerates, pharmaceuticals and construction/engineering subsector for the last five (5) years until 1991 when he left to join Financial Derivatives Company Limited as pioneer CEO.
UTC Nigeria further affirmed that Ogiemwonyi was also a pioneer member of ADB/World Bank project management team for the CBN/World Bank SME Scheme in 1989/1991. He is currently a member of the Edo State Economic and Strategy Team.
He is a widely read commentator and writes for many national newspapers and magazines including BusinessDay where he writes his own column “Economics and Markets”
This is coming on the heels of the appointment of six (6) directors into the board of the company.
They are Olaoluwa Akinkugbe (Chairman), Imoni Akpofure, Offong Ambah, Olubunmi Fayokun, Olatoyosi Kolawole and Adedotun Sulaiman.
