CWG Names Okere Vice Chairman, Announce Two Other Appointments

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)- ICT sector listed firm, Computer Warehouse Group Plc (CWG) said on Monday it has appointed Austin Okere as vice chairman, Kunle Ayodeji, as executive director and Okey Onyia, as vice president respectively.

The company in an issuer’s announcement to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) said the appointments are part of the its strategy to strengthen its structures towards achieving it’s short and long term goals.

Okere, was appointed as the vice chairman, in addition to his role as the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company and he has assumed the role.

While Ayodeji was appointed executive director to oversee the operations and finance functions of the CWG. “Ayodeji brings on board over 15 years’ experience in the fields of banking, financial consulting and private equity management” the ICT firm added.

According to CWG, prior to joining the firm,  Ayodeji was an investment principal with Aureos Capital and later became an associate director with the Abraaj Group. He was also with KPMG Professional Services prior to joining Aureos Capital. His expertise in finance and strategy will play a crucial role in strengthening the company’s growth.

On his part, Onyia was appointed the company’s vice president, Sales. He brings more than 15 years of relevant industry experience to his new role having previously served in seniour sales management roles for leading OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers – manufacturers of Information and Communication Technology hardwares and softwares) in Nigeria including Hewlett Packard Nigeria and most recently at Oracle Corporation.

“He will be responsible for delivering on the company’s revenue targets with a view to driving the company towards profitable growth,” CWG affirmed.
