LafargeHolcim Starts Trading on SIX, Euronext

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Newly merged world cement, aggregates and concrete firm, LafargeHolcim said early Tuesday it has started trading on SIX in Zurich and Euronext in Paris.

“Following the successful completion of the merger between Holcim and Lafarge, LafargeHolcim today starts trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange in Zurich with the ticker symbol LHN and on Euronext in Paris, joining the Swiss Market Index (SMI) and the CAC 40 index (replacing Lafarge S.A.) respectively,” a statement from the new entity said.

The combined entity has a total market capitalisation of around CHF 41 billion per July 13, 2015.

The company says trading in its shares will start at 09:00 am CEST today. Representatives of LafargeHolcim’s seniour management will attend the start of trading ceremony in Paris.

The top two (2) world building materials and cement producers, Holcim and Lafarge on Friday announced it has concluded its merger deal and has emerged a new leader in the building materials industry.

“All conditions for the completion of the merger have been fulfilled following the successful completion of the public exchange offer and the issuance of new Holcim shares to Lafarge shareholders,” a statement from LafargeHolcim said.
