Fidelity Bank Plc has unveiled a reward scheme for its customers tagged the ‘Save-4-Shelter’ savings promo.
The bank explained that it would continue to roll out savings initiatives because of the positive relationship between savings and economic development.
The reward scheme is the fifth the bank would be having in the last eight years. The bank said the iniiatives have shown the concern it has in meeting the basic needs of its customers.
Speaking to journalists in Lagos, the Regional Bank Head, Apapa of Fidelity Bank, Mr. Obaro Odeghe, disclosed that under the new promo, three duplexes located in Lekki, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Abuja, would be won in a monthly draws within the period of the draw. In addition, he said a total of N35 million rent support would be won also at a monthly draws at an average of N5.5 million. Also, Odeghe stated that another rent support of N2 million would be won by the first prize winner; N1million by the second prize and N500, 000 for third prize winner, would be won in monthly draws.
“In all, a total of three duplex winners, 42 rent support winners and over 200 winners will emerge, inclusive of consolation prizes like fridges, generators, among others,” he added.
Odeghe, who is the Chairman of the Fidelity Bank Promo Committee, urged Nigerians to develop the culture of always setting aside some fraction of their income to guarantee financial security.
“For individuals, setting aside a portion of your earnings or salary can go a long way to provide financial security. So, the earlier we learn how to save, the better for us. So, owing to the importance of having a savings culture, the bank has entrenched yearly, savings promo in its marketing strategy to encourage and reward its customers. So, in every promo, there are incentives and prices to encourage our customers,” he added.
On his part, the Head of Retail Division, Fidelity Bank, Mr. Richard Madiebo, said for a customer to qualify for the promo, he must have a savings account with the bank.
“We have several savings products in the bank and this promo covers all of them. Everybody that have savings account with the bank is eligible to benefit from this promo,” he added.
