We wish to notify the Nigerian Stock Exchange that the Board of Directors of Computer Warehouse Group Plc. has appointed Mr. James Agada as a Managing Director/Chief Executive officer of the Company. Also, the CWG Board appointed Mr. Kunie Ayodeji as the Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Both appointments were made effective 1 January,2016.
Messrs. Agada and Ayodeji were unanimously appointed by the CWG Board following the formal notification by Messrs. Austin Okere and Philip Obioha, the hitherto MD/CEO and COO respectively, of their intention to retire from their positions, at the end of 2015. However, Mr Austin Okere remains the Executive Vice-Chairman of the Company.

Brief profiles of Messrs.James Agada and Kunle Ayodeji
James Agada
Mr. James Agada is a highly innovative and versatile technology expert. He holds a both first class degree and a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, with specialization in Digital Systems, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
He also holds an MBA from the international Graduate School of Management (IESE), Navara, Spain. James is an executive Director of the Company and is highly respected in the Information Technology industry where he has spent over 20 years building a career in consulting, software development, implementation and support.
He was pro tem president, Lagos Chapter of the Nigeria Computer Society, and was conferred with the “Titans of Tech Merit Award “in 2013, by Technology Africa.
Prior to his appointment as the Company’s MD/CEO, Mr. Agada was responsible for the Company’s research and Development unit.
He was the Chief Technology Officer of the Company, and the Executive Director overseeing the Company’s software division, Expert Edge.
Kunle Ayodeji
Mr. Kunle Ayodeji is a seasoned professional with over 16 years’ experience in the field of banking, financial consulting and private equity.
Prior to his joining CWG, Mr. Ayodeji was an Investment Principal with Aureos Capital and later became an Associate Director with the Abraaj Group, where he was instrumental in the investment of over US$45 million of Abraaj Funds, two partial divestments and two full exit of Abraaj’s portfolio companies in Nigeria. He also sat on the boards of a number of Abraaj’s portfolio companies.
Before joining Aureos in 2007, Mr. Ayodeji was a Senior Consultant with the Financial Advisory Services unit of KPMG Nigeria where he was involved with valuation, due to diligence and feasibility studies for various corporations and state governments. He also worked at the Treasury Operation department of Triumph bank Plc. in Lagos, Nigeria.
Mr. Ayodeji was the Aureos representative on the Boards of CWG from 2009 when Aureos invested in CWG, until December 2014.
He had been a member of both the Company’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee (where he was the pioneer Chairman), as well as the General Purpose Committee , before he joined CWG in March, 2015 as Executive Director, Operations and Finance. Mr. Ayodeji holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria and an MBA from The University of Birmingham, United Kingdom.
