Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Beer producer, Nigerian Breweries Plc on Wednesday said its pretax profit for the half-year period ended June 30, 2016 declined 36.3 percent to N10.54 billion from N16.55 billion recorded a year ago.
Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) dipped 24.3 percent to N8.61 billion from N11.4 billion posted the same period of 2015.
In the same vein, revenue climbed down from N81.75 billion in the first-half of 2015 to N79.82 billion in the review period of 2016; indicating a depreciation of 2.4 percent, the brewer said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
Shares of the company at the close of the session on the Nigerian bourse dropped 0.53 percent to N133.05 from N133.76 recorded the previous session; losing 0.71 kobo per share.
