Access Bank Says will Submit H1 2016 Audited Financials August 31, 2016

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s tier one lender, Access Bank Plc said on Friday it will delay submission of its 2016 half-year audited financials and will now do so not later than August 31, 2016.

“We refer to the post listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange on the filing of quarterly Financial Statements by quoted companies.

We wish to inform you that our board of directors will be meeting on July 28, 2016 to approve the Bank’s half-year audited financial statements after which it will be submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval.

In the light of the foregoing, we hereby seek for extension of time to submit the Bank’s half year audited financial statements not later than August 31, 2016,” the lender said in an issuer’s announcement with the NSE.

Shares of Access at the close of Friday’s trading on the Nigerian bourse dropped 2.17 percent to N5.40 from N5.52 recorded the previous session; thereby losing 0.12 percent per share.
