Lafarge Africa Declares N30.2 Billion Loss in H1’16

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Cement producer, Lafarge Africa Plc has declared a loss of N30.2 billion in the half-year (H1) perod of 2016 compared to in N27.32 billion  profit recorded a year ago.

Similarly, the company posted a pretax loss of N30.1 billion compared to a pretax profit of N30.8 billion in the same period of 2015.

Revenue of Lafarge Africa declined 29.6 percent to N107.4 billion from N152.2 billion recorded a year earlier, the company said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Shares of the Lafarge Africa at the close of Wednesday’s trading on the Nigerian bourse climbed down 0.43 percent to N59.80 from N60.06 recorded the previous session gaining  0.26 kobo per share.
