Zenith Bank Seeks Extension to File H1 2016 Result Aug’31

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s top tier lender, Zenith Bank Plc on Thursday announced its seeking extension from the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in the submission of its half-year (H1) June 30, 2016 report till August 31, 2016.

“In compliance with the Post Listing Requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, the bank is expected to submit its Interim Financial reports to the Nigerian Stock Exchange not later than thirty (30) days from the end of the relevant reporting period. We have accordingly, written to seek the approval of the Nigerian Stock Exchange for extension of time to Submit the bank’s Half Year Audited Financial Statements to August 31, 2016,” Zenith Bank said.

The nation’s tier one lender said the move is coming on the heels of a board meeting held on July 27, 2016 to approve the bank’s Half Year Audited Financial Statements.

According to the lender, its Half Year Audited Financial Statements will be forwarded to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for approval before release on the floor of the NSE.

Shares of the bank at the close of trading on the Nigerian bourse declined 2.92 percent to N16.31 from N16.80 recorded the previous session; showing a loss of 0.49 kobo per share.
