Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Reinsurer, Continental Reinsurance Plc on Tuesday said its pretax profit for the period ended December 31, 2016 jumped 21.3 percent to N4.65 billion from N3.83 billion recorded a year ago.
Post tax profit increased 24.02 percent to N3.12 billion from N2.51 billion posted the same period of 2015, the reinsurer said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
In its corporate action to the NSE, ContinentalRe proposed a dividend of 14 kobo per share compared to 12 kobo per share declared the same period of 2015; this amounts to N1.452 billion from the company’s profit after tax (PAT)
