Nigerian Breweries Says Q3 2017 Pretax Profit up 23.86% to N34.4 Billion

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Top tier beer producer, Nigerian Breweries Plc said on Thursday its pretax profit for the period ended September 30, 2017 climbed up 23.86 percent to N34.4 billion from N27.7 billion recorded a year ago.

Similarly, post-tax profit for the period increased 19.39 percent to N24.0 billion from N20.1 billion posted the same period of 2016.

Revenue of the brewing giant grew to N254.6 billion from N222.7 billion recorded in the corresponding period of 2016, Nigerian Breweries said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

The company has proposed an interim dividend of N1.00 per share and said qualification date would be November 15, 2017; while closure of register has been scheduled for November 16, 2017. The beer maker said the payment date for the N1.00 dividend per share to investors will be November 23, 2017.
