Intraday Update: Nigerian Equities up +0.05% on Gains in Consumer Goods Sector

Market movers: JAPAULOIL (+5.71%), NASCON (+4.75%),  FCMB (-4.98%), STERLNBANK (-4.97%).

Sector Performances: Consumer Goods (+0.13%), Banking (-0.04%), Industrial, Oil & Gas. 

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and total value declined by c. -50% and c. -48% respectively compared to this time yesterday, as investors have exchanged c. 116million units of shares worth c. N1.02billion. FBNH (+1.38%) is the most actively traded stock with c.25million units of shares accounting for c.22% of total volume. 

Likely close: In the absence of a significant loss in DANGCEM, the market may print in the green today if the gains in Consumer Goods sector continues.
