Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Transcorp Hotels Plc (TRANSCOHOT), the hospitality subsidiary of conglomerate, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (TRANSCORP) said on Thursday its full year pretax profit declined 34.5 percent to N2.68 billion in the period ended December 31, 2017 compared with N4.09 billion posted a year ago.
Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) dipped same margin of 29.7 percent to N3.68 billion from N5.23 billion declared the same period of last year.
Also, revenue of the hotelier dropped to N15.31 billion in 2017 end from N13.84 billion the previous year, TRANSCOHOT said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The hotelier declared a dividend of N12.45 kobo per share final dividend to shareholders of the company whose as at March 6, 2018 and March 7, 2018 scheduled as qualification and closure dates respectively. While Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been scheduled for March 16, 2018.
Shares of TRANSCOHOT’s parent company TRANSCORP at the close of the session’s trading on the domestic bourse gained 3.86 percent to N2.15 from N2.07 traded the previous session; gaining 0.08 kobo per share.
