Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) all-share index (ASI) is down -0.62 percent as at midday trading on the domestic bourse; while the Oil & Gas index is up +0.08 percent in terms of sectoral performances, according to InvestmentOne update
The update says the other sectoral performers on the flipside include, the NSE Banking and Consumer Goods counters both declining by -1.43 percent and 0.12 percent apiece
The market movers on the northward trajectory include most capitalised company on the NSE, cement producer, Dangote Cement Plc and conglomerate, John Holt Plc both gaining +0.20 percent and +3.57 percent respectively. While on the negative side is FCMB Plc and CAP Plc; the duo depreciating -9.55 percent and -5.28 percent each.
In terms of market activity, InvestmentOne reports that in today’s early trade, total volume and value traded declined by 67 percent and 79 percent respectively compared to this time last Friday, as investors have exchanged 67 million units of shares worth N249 million.
According to the report, leading diversified conglomerate, Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc is currently down -4.51 percent as the most actively traded stock with four (4) million units of shares accounting for about six percent of total volume.
