Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Nigeria’s most capitalised quoted company, Dangote Cement Plc said on Wednesday its profit after tax (PAT) for the period ended December 31, 2018 grew 91.1 percent to N390.32 billion from N204.24 billion recorded a year ago.
Similarly, profit before tax (PBT) inched up 3.9 percent to N300.80 billion from N289.59 billion posted the same period of 2017.
Revenue of Dangote Cement grew to N901.21 billion in the review period of 2018 from N805.58 billion declared in the audited period of 2017, indicating a growth of 11.9 percent, the cement producer said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).
The company proposed a dividend of N16.00 per share to its investors in the audited period ended December 31 2018 compared to N10.50 per share paid in 2017 end; representing an increase in dividend payout of 52.38 percent.
