Introduction
As at the close of trade on April 10, 2019, the NASD-USI recorded YTD decline of -1.6% from 740.66 points at the end of 2018 to 728.84 points.
On a month-on-month basis, the NASD-USI recorded an increase of +0.21% at the end of January 2019. This showed an increase from 740.66 points at the end of December 2018 to 742.20 points as at the end of January 2019.
However, this gain was eroded in the month of February 2019 as the NASD-USI experienced a MoM decrease of -0.95% from 742.20 points in January 2019 to 735.18 points at the end of February 2019.
In the month of March 2019, there was a rebound in the market as the NASD-USI recorded a +3.07% increase MoM from 735.18 points as at the end of February 2019, to 757.75 points at the end of March 2019.
As at April 10, 2019, the NASD-USI recorded a MTD decline of -3.95% from 757.75 points at the end of the previous month to 727.84 as at the close of business yesterday.

Dividend Payment
As at April 10, 2019, only two companies on NASD OTC Exchange (Central Securities Clearing System Plc and Afriland Properties Plc) have declared dividends for FYE 2018. While SDCSCSPLC proposed a dividend of 70 kobo to be paid on 30 April, 2019, SDAFRILAND proposed a dividend of 5 kobo with the payment date slated for 28th day of March, 2019.

Price Performance
As at the close of the trading on 10 April, 2019, only 5 (five) securities have been able to record increases in their share prices YTD.
SDCSCSPLC emerged as the top performer with YTD gain of +9.33%, closely followed by SDNIPCOPLC with YTD gain of +6.29%.
SDNDEP emerged the top loser as it led 4 (four) securities with a YTD loss of -11.66% while further chased by SDWAMCO with a YTD loss of -4.87%. Also, 22 securities experienced no change in their prices as at April 10, 2019.
