Nestle Nigeria Profit Declines -14.17% in 2020 Year End, Offers N35.50 Kobo Final Dividend

Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Food and beverage giant, Nestle Nigeria Plc said on Monday its profit for the year ended December 31, 2021 declined -14.17 percent to N39.21 billion from N45.68 billion recorded a year ago.

Pretax profit of the company dropped -14.74 percent to N60.63 billion from N71.12 billion posted the same period of 2019.

Revenue of Nestle however inched up +1.07 percent to N287 billion from N284 billion declared in 2019 end, the food and beverage company said in a filing with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE).

Nestle has proposed a final dividend of N35.50 kobo  per share to its shareholders in the review period compared to N45.00 paid the same period of 2019.

According to the company, qualification and closure dates has been scheduled for May 21 and May 24, 2021 respectively, while Annual General Meeting (AGM) and payment dates are June 22 and June 23, 2021.
