NGXASI Declines -0.08%, Dragged by FBNH, MTNN, Nigerian Breweries

The NGXASI declined by 0.08% today to close at 99,842.19pts, as the losses recorded in MTNN (-2.67%), NB (-8.37%) and FBNH (-2.65%) drove the local bourse into the negative terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note, as we observed buy pressure across all tenor. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 7bps to close at 21.84%. Elsewhere, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 18.76%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.02% to close at NGN1,483.02/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 0.13% to USD85.22pb.
