The NGXASI declined by 0.44% today to close at 99,217.60pts, as the losses observed DANGSUGAR (-5.66%), WAPCO (-4.08%) and ZENITHBANK (-1.81%) drove the local bourse into the negative terrain.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, largely driven by bearish sentiment seen across all tenors of instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield increased by 9bps to close at 22.03%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note but with a tilt downwards. The Average FGN Bond yield inched upwards by 1bp to close at 18.78%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.71% to close at NGN1,500.79/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) weakened by 0.91% to USD85.23pb.
