The NGXASI declined by 0.09% today to close at 99,656.38pts, as the losses observed AIRTELAFRI (-2.47%), FBNH (-5.44%) and DANGSUGAR (-4.15%) drove the local bourse into the negative terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, largely driven by buy-interests seen in the short and long tenor instruments. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to close at 21.93%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 18.77%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.31% to close at NGN1,490.20/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 0.97% to USD86.07pb.
