EQUITIES MARKET:
Bulls hold sway in the domestic bourse today, continuing the winning streak by a little margin in today’s trading session as the NGX All-Share Index gained 1 basis points, closing at 99,396.23 points from 99,385.44 points in the previous session.
The market’s positive performance was primarily driven by investors interest in stocks such as ACCESSCORP (+1.06%), FBNH (+2.90%), GTCO (+1.25%), NB (+1.72%), OANDO (+4.36%), UBA (+3.94%) and 27 others.
Consequently, the year-to-date return settled to 32.93%. Also, the overall market capitalization closed at N56.22 trillion, as investor’s wealth increased by N6.19 billion.
Market activity for the day was positive as volume and value traded increased by 91.55% and 154.67% to 529.37 units and N10.49 billion respectfully.
We expect the market to trade mixed amidst investors profit taking actions in the subsequent trading sessions.
CURRENCY MARKET:
The Nigerian Naira depreciated by 0.15% against the US Dollar in the NAFEM Window, closing at a rate of ₦1,510.10
