NGXASI Dips -0.04% to Close at 100,022.03Pts on Losses in Access, FBNH, JBERGER

The NGXASI declined by 0.04% today to close at 100,022.03pts, as the bearish momentum observed in JBERGER (-9.59%), FBNH(-3.76%) and ACCESSCORP (-3.03%) drove the local bourse into the negative region.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a negative note, driven by the bearish sentiment seen on all tenors of the instrument. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield advanced by 28bps to close at 22.76%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note but with a bearish tilt. As such, the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 1bp to close at 18.77%.

At the NAFEM window, as at the previous day, the Naira appreciated by 0.70% to close at NGN1,509.67/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) advanced by 0.11% to USD87.53pb.
