NGXASI Dips -0.01%, Dragged by TRANSCORP, FBNH,PZ

The NGXASI declined by 0.01% today to close at 100,007.11pts, as the negative sentiment on TRANSCORP (-5.45%), PZ (-10.00%) and FBNH (-0.65%) propelled the market into the red zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bearish note as yields rose across the mid and long end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield increased by 13bps to close at 22.89%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a slightly negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 1bp to close at 18.78%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.94% to close at NGN1,523.85/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 0.68% to USD85.95pb.
