The NGXASI declined by 0.33% today to close at 99,468.90pts, as the sell pressure on SEPLAT (-8.30%), TRANSCORP (-3.63%) and ACCESSCORP (-1.04%) drove the Nigerian bourse into the red terrain.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note as yields contracted across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield declined by 16bps to close at 23.30%. However, the FGN Bond market traded on a negative note as the Average FGN Bond yield inched up by 4bps to close at 18.98%.
At the NAFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.47% to close at NGN1,554.65/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) rose by 0.33% to USD85.36pb.
