The NGXASI advanced by 0.20% today to close at 99,671.28pts, as the gains recorded in SEPLAT (+7.18%), PRESCO (+4.18%) and GTCO (+0.66%) propelled the market into the positive territory.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a slightly negative note as yields increased across the short and mid end of the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield inched up by 3bps to close at 23.33%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market exhibited a bearish performance as the Average FGN Bond yield rose by 28bps to close at 19.26%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.59% to close at NGN1,563.80/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) increased by 0.57% to USD85.89pb.
