The NGXASI closed flat today to close at 97,100.31pts as gains in OANDO (+9.97%), GTCO (+0.99%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.40%) offset the losses in DANGSUGAR (-4.35%), TRANSCORP (-1.38%) and TRANSCOHOT (-0.93%).

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed up as we observed buy pressure at the mid and long end of the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield declined by 37bps to close at 24.94%. In the same vein, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield slightly fell by 1bp to close at 19.70%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.98% to close at NGN1,579.89/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 1.51% to USD79.82pb.
