The NGXASI declined today by 0.32% to close at 96,203.99 pts as losses witnessed in MTNN (-7.91%), JAIZBANK (-6.25%) and ACCESSCORP (-0.78%) drove the local bourse into the negative region.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed positive as there was optimistic sentiment along all tenor instruments across the benchmark curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 12bps to close at 21.23%. Similarly, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield declined by 6bps to close at 19.37%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira weakened by 0.77% to close at NGN1,606.56/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) depreciated by 0.99% to USD78.76pb.
