The NGXASI declined today by 0.09% to close at 96,715.04pts as losses in JBERGER (-8.77%), OANDO (-8.38%) and TRANSCORP (-1.78%) drove the local equities market into the red zone.

In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market closed up as we observed buy pressure across the curve. Consequently, Average T-Bills yield fell by 3bps to close at 20.00%. Likewise, the FGN Bond market traded slightly positive as the Average FGN Bond yield moderated by 1bp to close at 18.73%.

At the NAFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 4.81% to close at NGN1,558.75/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) edged higher by 1.69% to USD70.36pb.
